So many great opportunities to learn from the land here at South Canoe this spring. Taking our learning outside provides lots to see, smell, hear, feel and learn. Up at the trails, Mrs. Danyluk’s class had an awesome opportunity to learn from a local equestrian and feed her horse.
On the May 5th Indigenous Day of Learning, our entire staff bussed out to Kingfisher Interpretive Centre to spend the day together, learning in community and growing our knowledge of Indigenous Ways of Knowing and Being. Spending time by the river, listening to Knowledge Keepers, and contemplating how we can each improve our work as stewards of the land and participants in reconciliation.
Learning outside just continues to bring joy to our hearts!
