South Canoe Brings Home the Pirate Flag from the 2024 Pirate Loppet….Arrrrr!

The fog at Larch Hills added an element of mystery to this year’s annual SD83 Pirate Loppet. South Canoe had over 65 skiers registered this year and the pirates did not disappoint. Whether experienced cross-country skiers or new to the sport, all our pirates skied great and had lots of fun! As is tradition, the races started with the blast of a mini-cannon. Lots of pirate costumes, prizes and hot dogs for lunch added to the festive event. And to top it all off, this year the South Canoe team took home the coveted pirate flag as winners of the highest proportion of representation from all the schools in SD83! We could not be more proud of all our pirates. A huge thank you to our event organizer and lead pirate, Mme Styles!  Until next year….Arrrrrr!
