Student leaders guided staff and students on a journey of remembrance and learning for today’s Walk of Remembrance. Though the day began with cold, cloudy and wet weather, the sun emerged as classes began their walk down the trails of Klahani Park. Student leaders did an excellent job of mini-presentations to each class as they walked the trails. Once classes completed their walk of remembrance, we all assembled to sing our national anthem, learn about National Indigenous Veteran’s Day and listen to grade 8 student, Aurelia Wilson, play the Last Post and Reveille. South Canoe students did an excellent job of participating in remembrance learning and we know they will contribute great things to a peaceful future for our world.
