Info for parents

So far we have 16 of our 20 spots filled up for our Kindergarten class. Great to see lots of interest in the outdoor program! I will be meeting with parents of newly registered Kindie students in the spring time to go over the program in more detail. Looks like a great bunch of kiddos!

First Hot Lunch of the year is on Friday. For Mrs. Salm’s class who will be off-site, we will be taking lunch to them. Please remember to send utensils and plateware that Corene asked for in her message to parents.

Please make sure that your child is dressing appropriately for the weather as we continue to be outside.

Grade 4 and 7 students will be completing the Foundation Skills Assessment (FSA) this month. This is a mandatory assessment for students and assesses reading, writing and numeracy. There are 5 parts to the assessment (part online, part written in a work book). The results will not be reported on their report cards and students are just asked to do their best. It’s not meant to be a stressful thing for them 🙂
