On Friday, our whole school took part in an incredibly inspiring outdoor assembly. Clearly, the legacy of Terry Fox continues to impact so many of us. After opening remarks, a special student presentation, and watching a brief Terry Fox video, we welcomed students from Mrs. Willmot’s class to share with us the results of their careful coin counting. Over just this one week, the students, staff and families of South Canoe raised over $500 for the Terry Fox Foundation’s efforts to support cancer research. Well done everyone!
Once the assembly wrapped up, we hit the road to do our annual run in the memory of Terry Fox. What a tremendous effort by everyone. So many smile and high fives!
